North Carolina state lawmakers once again aim to ram through a budget which does not address the concerns of working families or our valued public educators. Instead of expanding Medicaid and investing in our public schools and our students, politicians in Raleigh want to continue cutting taxes for the wealthy and big corporations.
The state Senate just passed $800M in tax cuts over the next five years. They even cut taxes on jet fuel, NASCAR, and a big tobacco company!
Join us Thursday, June 27th at 6 pm in Greensboro for this 90-minute town hall. Experts will share where the state budget stands now, and how you can take action to help our representatives make the right decisions for all North Carolinians.
