Healing Justice Documentary and Dialogue

Healing Justice addresses the legacy of generational trauma inflicted by slavery, Jim Crow, and other forms of institutional racism and demonstrates the impact of racism in our criminal justice system (think The New Jim Crow). More importantly, however, the film proposes and delivers a paradigm shift that will move us away from punishment and into community. Restorative Circles are being implemented in Winston Salem this Fall in the juvenile justice system, in our schools, and in our neighborhoods. Teenagers are using this process to reduce gang violence and to resolve issues in their schools.
