Separate and Unequal:

School Segregation in Modern Day America

Thursday, October 10 at 7:30 pm

Kenneth R. Williams Auditorium

Winston-Salem State University

A coalition of community partners announces an evening with Nikole Hannah-Jones, nationally recognized author and recipient of a MacArthur Genius grant.

Ms. Hannah-Jones covers racial injustice for The New York Times Magazine and has spent years chronicling the way official policy has created—and maintains— racial segregation in housing and schools. Her deeply personal reports on the black experience in America offer a compelling case for greater equity.  She is currently writing a book on school segregation called The Problem We All Live With.  Ms. Hannah-Jones is the driving force behind the 1619 Project.

Admission is free.
